Do Not Stop!

Do Not Stop Even If The Odds Are Against You!

This picture on your left shows you the famous knock out by Muhammad Ali in 1965. Muhammad Ali was always persistent in studying his opponent, when it came to preparing for his next fight. He was like a general getting ready for war, he studied his opponent ever single day. Watching film of his opponent, looking for strengths and weaknesses. Muhammad Ali was one of the greatest fighters to ever box. He was dedicated, motivated, concentrated, committed, and had a good self-esteem. This is what he needed to defeat his opponent. Although, he was cocky at some point, it was all part of being a good boxer, setting your mind for success.
Now what I am trying to get through to you with this whole thing is that, we must not stop just like him. He never stopped doing what he loved to do. Even when the odds were against him he still believed he could make it happen. We must have a mind set like Muhammad Ali when it comes to fighting life. Life is a struggle and it is not easy, but just like Muhammad Ali we must be dedicated, motivated, concentrated, and have a good self-esteem in life to overcome the bad times, the trials, and tribulations.
Finish the fight and give it all you got, when you think you have been defeated, when you feel like there is no more hope left just remember God is there to pick you back up. Exodus 14:14 "The lord himself will fight for you". Whatever you are struggling with, whether it be addictions or changing your character you are not alone in the fight. Stay strong and remember this to shall pass. It will take time, but as long as you set yourself a goal and realize that the Lord is with you in everything that you do, you can't lose!

I Plead the 5th (Guilty)

I Plead the 5th(Guilty)

Have you ever been in a situation where you've fallen to the point of no return? When you've hit rock bottom and never thought you would make it back up. You've felt useless and unworthy to be alive. Have you ever been in a situation were you just want to end your life because you know you're guilty and there is nothing that you can do to change that?
Being guilty of doing something that is so shameful is one of the worst things that will never leave you. ADDICTION leads to guiltiness. I had a family member that was addicted to drugs. His first time using drugs was in high school and that is where it all started. First marijuana then gradually progressed from crystal meth to crack cocaine. It was a once a week routine then became an everyday obsession. He had gotten married to this wonderful, loving, caring, adorable, God fearing woman. She had never knew of anything in the beginning thought he was a good guy, but little did she know it was going to be thirty plus years of hell before he changed his ways. He had put his family in debt, cheated on his wife and left his kids with no father. The last time he had left he thought that that was the point of no return for him. He had stole money from the church left for a week, rented a motel and bought all the drugs he could to have that satisfaction.
In that time period he had felt so low and unworthy that he was getting ready to kill himself. He thought that if he could overdose it was be an easy death, but realized that he had used all his drugs and ran out of money. At that time he had left the motel and started walking onto this busy street. He started thinking if I just walk into the middle of the street and get hit by a car ill be done away with. As he was getting ready to go, he felt something tug him back onto the sidewalk he said it was an angel and God letting him know that his time is not yet come. He started crying to God about what he had done and felt his guiltiness come upon him. He had received a text message from his son saying, "Dad I love you! why are you doing this? Please come back home."
Right then and there he knew God still cared for him and had great plans for him. This man that I am talking about is my Father. Today he is doing wonderful, full of Gods love. If it was not for my mother and God he would have been dead along time ago. He is a year and six months clean and doing better than ever.
Remember even you think that your done and there is no way that you can return. When you have hit rock bottom just have faith wait upon God because he will never leave you nor forsake you. Sometime we go through rough times to become a stronger person. You've got what it takes!

The one

How Do You Know Someone Is "The One"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BERIOlDTk2M

This video made by Jefferson Bethke talks about finding the perfect one. He says it is not about finding the one, but preparing yourself to be the one. He believes that there is no such thing as the one. He says that we should be able to pick whoever we want as our significant other. I agree with most of the things he said in his video except about picking whoever you want. I believe that we should set standards for ourselves and not pick anyone we want. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?2 Corinthians 6: 14-15 What this verse is saying is, what business do you have with someone that has nothing to do with the path you are striving for. In other words, why would you want to be with someone that is going completely opposite to what you are trying to do. So when Bethke talks about it is okay to pick whoever you want? it is invalid in my opinion. Watch this video for yourself and you tell me what you think. Do you agree or disagree with his statement.
